Our First Dip in the Pool

With the rising temperature, we decided to try out the pool one afternoon.  We are not excited for the heat to come, but we are really excited to get back in the pool! We love to swim! This summer should be fun now that Jared is older and can enjoy the pool more.

 Well, our attempt was a little..... early.  The water was really cold still! Jack inched in, but was soon paddling around.  Cold doesn't stop him! It was pretty funny to watch him get in and once he was, he kept moving a lot to try and stay warm.  Jared and I got in about half way and quickly got out.  It was way to cold for Jared and so he ended up playing with toys, far away from the pool, of course.  Thank goodness he can't crawl yet (he is getting close though)!  I eventually jumped in (literally) and raced Jack across the pool a few times to keep the blood flowing. 

It was cold, but fun.  

Soon enough it will be so hot that if we don't get in the pool as fast as we can, we will MELT!

Before church, I had to try to snap a few pictures of Jared in his little suit! So cute! He obviously didn't love the idea that much.  

I can't believe how big he is getting! Jared is starting to show signs of crawling.  We will see when he finally gets it.  Jack wasn't much of a crawler.  He loves to eat real food and will have NOTHING to do with baby food.  He smacks/pops his lips when he is hungry and in his high chair waiting for food.  He loves to clap his hands and we cheer in response and he grins and keeps clapping.  He is a fabulous sleeper!  I think some of the reason is that mommy has learned how to do things better this time around.  He goes right to sleep when I lay him down for naps and sleeps through the night!  He only has two little baby teeth on the bottom center and I keep wondering when he will get more.  He has already had three hair cuts in his first year and will probably get one more before his first birthday! 

Sure love him! 

As a side note, I decided I need to stop just trying to get caught up on my blog and post some current pictures here and there.  The reason I am so intent on getting caught up and posting pretty much every little thing is because I am going to make a blog book! I consider my blog some what of a journal for our family and so I want to document it all.  Just wish I could stay caught up!!!!

Car Mat and Playing Doctor

We decided to make a car mat with the box from Dad's birthday present.  While Jared napped, Jack and I taped down the box and went to work with markers.  It was a pretty impressive car mat, complete with superhero headquarters, villain's lair, race way, pet store, gas station, airport, cozy cone, Mater's tow yard, etc.....

Later that day, I caught Jack playing doctor with Jared.  It was so cute! Of course, I had to take my turn being a doctor and examining my patients and then performing surgery.
