About a week and a half ago, we heard our baby's heartbeat for the first time! Since we have not had our first doctor appointment yet, many have asked "how?". My sister-in-law, Michelle, let me borrow her doppler! She decided to buy one with her first and was kind enough to let me borrow it! I didn't really think it was a huge deal at first. I was excited to try, but didn't get my hopes up because I was only about 8 or so weeks along. She explained how to work it and that it might take some work and patience to find it or even a few tries. We finally got a chance to sit down and try it at like 11:30 one night. Again, I didn't expect much, but just thought it would be fun. Well, we put the doppler on my stomach and moved it to the right once or twice and BANG, there it was and super strong too! I could not believe it! Michelle told me that I would hear my heartbeat and I would have to listen in the background for the babies. There was no sign on my heartbeat, just Jr's loud and clear! Mike kept saying, "that's it, that's it!" but I didn't believe it at first, but came around. We then took it off and listened to mine to compare and it was defiantly the babies! I was ecstatic! It was so good for me because when I am hardly sick at all, a few little back aches, and just constant need of sleep, it was hard to really know that a little one was really inside of me. (Don't worry, I am counting my blessings on the whole no-sickness thing .) Anyway, it was nice to hear some confirmation on what was really going on in there! My favorite part is how the heartbeat sounds like a washing machine! :) We have it recorded and once I can get my computer savy husband to help me, I want to put it on the blog!
Mike's little brother received his mission call a little over a week ago! He is going to Guatemala and is super excited! He leaves in January and so it will be fun to have him around for Christmas. This week, we were able to go through the temple with him, as he received his endowments and that was really nice.
Mike is running himself like crazy! He is either at school or at work from 8 in the morning until 6 or 7 at night, Monday through Saturday! He is so strong and gets through his crazy weeks without a word of complaint! Unlike me, I am ready to quit working and am counting down to the date I will leave my 2nd job! I am mostly sick at night and so I can't wait to have some free days to get some housework done that really needs some attention! We are going to our first doctor appointment on Tuesday and we are super excited! Mike even promised to take me to breakfast after! Yay!
Anyway, I guess not that much has been going on that is "blog-worthy", but oh well! We are well and happy and that is what is most important! Thanks for all of the comments left about our exciting news! We love hearing from everyone!

FINALLY! you really should post more...so I can see pictures and stuff. Especially when you start getting a BELLY!
Isn't it SO cool to hear the heart for the first time? Actually, I've heard it almost every appointment and it's STILL cool.
Happy Doctor's appointment tomorrow!
You guys have so much going on. I am so excited to find out if the baby is a boy or a girl. I can't wait to find out what we are having.
Also, anything is blog worthy. It's the random stuff that you write about that people love to read the most. Just remember good blog = quantity not quality!
Hey guys!
I was thinking of your just the other day when I got my "girls night out" invite from rod works. I'm totally there by the way. I hope you'll be there. How are you feeling Alyse? Good I hope. I will be ready to POP when you see me this weekend. I only have about 2 weeks left. I'm so ready to be DONE! How was the doctors? And what month do you find out what your having? Sorry lots of questions. Well good luck! We still need to get together and do something when life isn't super crazy!
Shelley
