Can You Tell I have a 2 Yr Old?????

Ok, so a few weeks ago I was having a pretty bad day and while I was in the other room, my TWO YEAR OLD found a BLACK PERMANENT MARKER!!!! (yes, it is my fault they were not under lock and key!) Anyway, I came out and found his "artwork" all over my couch, every pillow, the arms of my recliner, on about 10 of his toy trucks, and even a little on the wall. I instantly burst into tears and ran to call my Mom for fear of my couch!!!

After some serious scrubbing, I got it off my couch and was finally breathing again! I did think to take a picture because I knew someday I might laugh about it! Is this an initiation to being a mother of a two year old??? I swear everyone has this story!

It is hard to see some of them, but he hit EVERY pillow!

These are some of the cars he colored.

Ok, so I am finally getting over this last incident and this morning (hence my unruly hair etc) while I was trying to dress Jack he had an attachment piece to my vacuum and he WACKED my nose!!! It hurt like crazy and I held it for a while and then quickly ran to put him in TIME-OUT!!! I then realized that it was bleeding and he really sliced my nose! Is this abuse??? I swear he is going to break my nose someday! Good thing I know a good ENT!

Oh Alyse I'm SO sorry! What a sad post, between the art rendered all over the house and your bleeding nose...I think I need to be in Utah so our boys can entertain eachother- preferably without sharp objects and markers. Ha Ha. Can't wait though to be in Utah. I hope your nose heals up fast! ...I'm still dreading the day Lincoln ruins our couch, luckily we made it through the spit-up phase, but the terrible 2's are a different ball park.

i think we have the exact same couch..and it too has been covered with crayon, marker, and bright red nail polish...it does take a ton of scrubbing, but i'm glad that most things come out! :)

OUCH! Be sure to remind him of this when he's a teenager and blames you for everything wrong in his life!
