This year, we had a special treat for our Roper Family Christmas party. Sam Cardon is in my parent's ward and they are good friends. Sam use to be their home teacher and he promised my Mom a concert a year or two ago and she finally decided to take him up on his offer.
It was really fun to hear him play and to hear how he got involved in music. He even had a guy (He is apart of Ryan Shupe and the Rubber Band, but I can't remember his name)... anyway, he is close friends with this guy and Sam asked him to come and essentially jam with him Christmas style! Sam played the piano and the "guy" played the Bass and banjo. Everyone enjoyed it and the kids even sat through it! That is amazing! We were sad to have it end.
We had a special visit from a VERY special Santa! Jack did A LOT better than I thought he would, but probably only because the other kids sat on his lap and he saw that he would get a present after.
