Happy Birthday Daddy!

We celebrated Daddy's birthday with the Roper's on Sunday after dinner.
(Blame me for the terrible pic.... I'm terrible!)
We got him a mono-pod and my parent's got him a tri-pod. Kind of over-kill in the "pod" area, but he has always wanted them for his camera.
And as is a usual occurrence lately, Jack took his clothes off! Where did he come from?
On Daddy's actual birthday, he had to work, so Jack and I went to visit him. I had been talking to Jack about Daddy's birthday the week before and kept asking him what we should get him. Jack has a squishy lizardthat he loves and he was determined that Daddy's gift should be a squishy lizard! I gave in and we went and got a lizard and a crocodile for Daddy. We also got him a framed picture of our family for his desk, balloons, and a slurpee (Daddy's favorite)! We went to work and tried to contain Jack in the quiet office. We put his presents in a gift bag and Jack was so excited to give Daddy his gift. I didn't think he would actually let me put them in a bag and give them to Dad, but he was more than willing. Mike opened them and Jack quickly claimed them as his own! He is NOT stupid! Pretty smart move!

We also celebrated with Mike's family and went out to dinner at Market Street. Yum!

Happy Birthday Daddy! We love you!

I LOVE this picture of my two boys.

As a side note because I never posted about it, Mike is now working at Woodbury Corporation as a draftsman. It is a family company and he sought out help and advice for grad school applications from a family member there who is an architect. In the process, he was taken on for what we thought would be just an internship. Come to find out, he was paid pretty well, benefits etc etc. It was a JOB!
Mike is really enjoying his time there and is learning a lot. It is getting him excited for grad school.
