Going Home

We knew we were headed home today.  We enjoyed the morning and finished some paper work.  We had to finish filling out Jared's birth certificate info and we still did not have a middle name picked out! We had talked about a few, but nothing really sat well.  I have always felt that unless a middle name means something, then why have a middle name, especially when it comes to boys.  Finally, Mike just said out of no where, "How about Blaine?"  Blaine (or Gramps) is Mike's Grandfather and passed away about a year and a half ago.  He was the most genuine, kind, and caring man. I only knew him a short time and sadly, most of that time, he was sick.  I instantly loved the idea of naming our son after such a great man!  So Blaine it is!

After we got past that road block, we soon realized that it was getting past "check out" time. (I can't remember what they call it in the hospital.) Jared's doctor had come early that morning and all was clear for us to leave, but we were just waiting to hear from my doctor.  To make a long story short, our poor doctor and pretty much the whole women's department was insanely crazy and backed up and we  didn't leave the hospital until around 5:00!  We were worried we would be charged for another day, but it ended up working out.

The house was empty when we got home since Mike's family were all in Florida. It was nice to relax a little a home with our little guy.  A little later, my Mom and Dad brought Jack back and he was as happy as ever to see us and Jared. My Mom said he missed us and had hard time leaving the hospital each day without us.
Poor Jared! Life with a big brother begins!
