Christmas Fun

We had such a fun Christmas this year. Nothing out of this world or anything, just fun and simple. Family parties, seeing the lights around town, etc etc.

Jack got to participate in his Swenson cousin gift exchange. Gage and Jack had each other and Jack sure loved his gifts! Balls and cars..... what else do you need?

After the Roper family party, my Mom gave each family a large, red, plastic storage container. It was filled with something to open for the last five days of Christmas. Each day, we were able to open a gift that helped us come closer as a family and create fun memories together. I thought it was perfect! We should be spending time together and playing, instead of shopping ourselves to death for THINGS! Each day also had a spiritual thought, fun stories, or something to tie the activity to Christmas.
Some of the things we got were games with cookie dough, a Christmas movie and popcorn, a Christmas book and oranges, etc. The last day (Christmas Eve) had reindeer food to spread in the yard for the reindeer, hot chocolate, and mugs! Jack was a little young this year, but it was really fun and I plan to carry on that tradition in the future. Thanks to my amazing mother for the time, effort, $$$, and love she put into this... oh and Grandpa too!

Jack got the Rudolph movie!

He loves his puzzle book!

This gift was by far the best! He still plays with it and asks for it daily.
It is a martain wack-a-mole type game!
