Christmas Eve and Day

We spent Christmas Eve with my family this year. We loaded up our car until it could barely hold the three of us and headed down to Orem. We had presents, Jack's basketball hoop, stuff for us to stay overnight and then almost everything Jack owns so that he could stay with Grandma and Grandpa for a week.

We went with my parent's and little brother to my sister's house for dinner. They always have a nice dinner on Christmas Eve and were nice enough to let us come this year!

Once back at my parent's house, we had to keep (Swenson) tradition and let Jack open his Christmas PJ's. Sadly, he didn't care too much.

Hanging out with Uncle Rico and his harmonica

Merry Christmas!!! I think this had to be the most low-key Christmas EVER! We slept in, especially Jack , he was up so late the night before. We finally got up after 9 or so, had some breakfast (which is a huge NO NO for me on Christmas, but with a little guy who does not understand everything yet, you have to make exceptions.) Finally, we got to presents!!!

Yes, we really over did it this year with Jack's gift. By that, I mean in size!
He will have to grow to fit his present!

I love this picture!!! Check out that tongue!

Later that afternoon, we headed back home to see Nanny and Papa and have Christmas with them and talk to Uncle Shawn in Guatemala.

Jack was pretty spoiled this year!

Cars, Cars, Cars..... anything Cars!
He got pretty good at opening presents!

Later, after all of the fun... came the hardest part of the day! We knew this day was coming for probably the past 5 months. We drove back down to Orem and had to say goodbye to Jack for a week! We are going to Guatemala in the morning with Mike's parents to pick up Shawn from his mission. We are super excited, but will miss Jack like crazy!
