We decided to have a dog themed birthday party this year. Jack LOVES dogs!
We wrapped up a few presents and had them ready for when he woke up in the morning.
We let him open the bubbles and sidewalk chalk and saved the rest of the gifts for later.
We couldn't pass up playing outside with his new gifts.
Jack had to sample his birthday dog pops after lunch!
The cake..... always the fun part. I decided to do cake pops and save the stress and work making a full blown cake for when he is older and actually wants it! Well, the cake pops actually went really well. Yes, not professional work, but they were going pretty well. With the help of my amazing hubby, we made about 40 dog pops. Then came..... I have to say it...... DOGGY HELL! Being as blonde as I am, I didn't think about the fact that once I made them, I had to transport these little poochies! We filled cups with sugar and put about 4 in each cup and then I thought if I put the cups in a cupcake pan, it would hold them just fine! We had to drive from Sandy to Pleasant Grove and they didn't even survive the driveway!!! We got into the car safely and I held the pan on my lap. We reversed and hit the driveway bump and about 4 cups tumbled! I tried to catch them and lost a few more. Sugar spilled all over me and the chocolate ears broke off. After stopping probably 4 times, sugar and chocolate (which I can't forget to mention that the chocolate was melting because it was a warm day!) all over myself, Mike, and our car, and literally biting my tongue to keep the string of profanities I wanted to scream at the top of my lungs because of how frustrated I was.... we finally made it to the bowling alley! I am still very surprised that the dogs even made it there. Multiple times, I just wanted to dump them out the window and be done with it. Minus a few ears, they made it and my sanity was somewhat in-tact. I think we lost a couple along the way..... may they rest in peace! :) Luckily, I can look back and laugh about it now.
Bowling was so much fun. Jack like it, but I don't think he understood what was going on. He just loved having his cousins around to play with. It was so fun to be with almost all of our family and just hang out together and have a good time.
Jack was naughty and kept wanting to run in the lanes.
He even got in trouble by one of the employees!!!
Presents!!!
Jack was more than spoiled this birthday! He got so many fabulous gifts!
Daddy bought him this crayon bank, because he had one when he was little and loved it! I though it was such a cute idea.
Mega Block Wagon from Grandpa and Grandma Roper

Daddy also bought Jack these dragons!!!
The best part was the face Jack would make when he opened his gifts! It was like pure joy and shock mixed together!!! Everyone couldn't help but laugh! It was hilarious!
Papa and Nanny Swenson got him these little books that came with play mats and little figurines.
Super cute!
When we went home and he wanted all of his gifts open!
The face again :)
Da-ino-saur
Jack's best buddy, Lincoln, sent him a birthday package all the way from Nebraska!
Jack couldn't wait to open it and once again.... gave the face!!!
Lincoln and his Mommy made Jack this cute crayon roll!
Thanks Lincoln! Your a great friend!

Loved the updates!!! I really need to updat a lot too, you are so good at remembering the old stuff. LOVED THE DOGGY POPS!!!! And the invite, SO CUTE!!! You are amazing Alyse! Sorry about your tragic transportation, i think I would be freaking out the whole way...or crying inside. Looks like Jack had so much fun, loved his shocked/suprised face!
Alyse those cake pops turned out soo cute! I'm sorry it was such chaos to get them through the car ride, but I'm laughing about it too because of how many times I've done the same thing. You are really developing a lot of amazing talent!
Oh man, that surprise look on his face had me cracking up! That is classic!
