Maui

We went to Hawaii with the whole Swenson Family and to be honest, I think we all had a little bit of worry in the back of our head. In my opinion, this was my favorite Hawaii trip yet! It was so fun and considering the size of our group, I think we did pretty well.

We started out on Oahu for a few days. The Polynesian Cultural Center (PCC) has a new show and we wanted to see it. It was a little hectic packing and unpacking and dealing with airports etc within a few days, but the show was well worth it!

Jack and Gage. I love this picture!
Hugs quickly turned into sillies!
The whole family at the PCC.
We got to Maui and settled in and headed for the pool!!! We all LOVE Maui! I don't think it is worth going anywhere else in Hawaii. Our resort is UNBEATABLE!!!

This little slide was a hit for all of the kids. I think we went down it a few hundred times in the week we were there! At first, I had to go down with Jack on my lap, but soon he decided to go solo and loved it. I constantly found myself rushing to catch him in time.

View from our hotel. I can't take full credit, this picture is either Brad/Jen's or Brian/Annji's... not sure.
I love it though!

Para-Sailing

THE DIP!!!!

This trip we ventured out and tried something new. We woke up around 2AM and drove to the other side of the island. Then we were bused up the island's crater (can't remember the name) and it is pretty far up! So, we made it to the top for the sunrise and it was beautiful and FREEZING!!!! Hence our fashionable suits. :)

Then we were given bikes and we biked down the crater. It was soooo fun! I hated waking up that early and paid for it later, but would do it again! Thanks to Nanny and Jen for staying back with all of the kids. Next time, you are first on the list for this activity.

We stopped for breakfast at a little restaurant along the road and I loved these flowers! They felt like plastic. I almost thought they were fake!

This year, we decided to try to take family pictures and they actually turned out really nice.
Mike has not photoshopped these yet, so I am sure they will look better after a little TLC.

Thanks so much to Mike's parents for helping make this trip possible.
Until next trip! :)

Oh, and I must chime in about the flowers. There are many varieties of Protea, but this specific one is called Pincushion Protea. Beautiful. All the proteas feel waxy and fake. They are known for their color and uniqueness.
