This was a pretty hard day for me. After getting home from Hawaii, we had about 5 days to get Mike ready for his study abroad in Chile. It was crazy, but we survived and we were constantly pinching ourselves trying to see if this day had really come. I have never been away from my husband for more than a few days, better yet 6 weeks! I can't decide if it is sad or if we are lucky that Jack didn't really understand what was happening. We said our goodbyes with wet eyes and I braced myself for a hard 6 weeks.
On a positive note, I was super excited for the amazing experience that awaited for Mike. Heck, I was even jealous! He will be living in the city, Viña del Mar and will be going to school in Valparaíso. He will be living with a Chilean family and I am sure that will be such a neat experience. His tuition includes room and 3 meals a day. He doesn't think so, but I know he will do fine jumping back into speaking Spanish.

Terrible pictures.... I know. Mike had our SRL packed away and so we only had the point and shoot.... aka: POO! Living without the SRL will be hard too, now that I think of it! Jack only wanted to run around the airport and cared little to nothing about taking a picture with Dad. This was the best we got!
