So, after being a Mom of two for only a few days, I cracked! Poor Mike came home from work early at my request to find me in bed sick, crying and defeated. It really was not a bad day, I think I just got over loaded. Post- part um, trying to pack, and adjusting to having two children hit me. I look back now and I am sure I over reacted, but what else is new?
Anyway, Mike kicked into high gear and took the boys upstairs and let me get some rest. His Mom was so sweet and made us a fabulous dinner that night. I talked to my Mom and she instantly knew I had a hard day and came to my rescue. Since Mike had to work again, she offered to come get the boys and I the next morning so that she could help me out. We stayed the day and spent the next night.
My Mom is so good to help and loved giving Jared a bath. She filled up her deep sink in the laundry room and put a towel in the bottom for him to rest on. She started calling Jared her "bath buddy."
It was nice to spend time with family and have a little time getting back on my feet. Jack was able to play with cousins and loved that. It is starting to sink in that we are moving away from family soon and so I am starting to really appreciate all the time we spend with family.
